HHS Presents: Seussical the Musical Jan 28-30

The Hanford High School Performing Arts Department will present Seussical the Musical at 7 p.m. January 28, 29 and 30 and 2 p.m. January 30 at the Stratton L. Tarvin Presentation Center.

Students and staff - including a cast of more than 40 - have been hard at work rehearsing this spectacular family friendly show since October.

Seussical follows the story of Horton Hears a Who and features beloved literary characters of Dr. Seuss, including the show host, The Cat in the Hat (Trase Aguiguam). In this musical, Horton (Jaden Sanchez) must protect JoJo (Ashton Mayberry) and the Whos from a world of dangers and naysayers like the Sour Kangaroo (Michal Chrissakis). Horton also must guard an abandoned egg left to his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird (Courtney Smith). Although Horton faces ridicule and harm, the faithful Gertrude McFuzz (Shai Jenkins) never loses faith in him.

Tickets are $10 for students and $12 for adults and available at hanfordhs.seatyourself.biz
