Back to School Walk-Through Registrations start August 4

The first day of 2014-2015 classes for all HJUHSD high schools is August 14.

Back to School Walk-Through Registrations are August 4-7.
The HJUHSD Walk-Through registrations for Hanford High School, Hanford West High School and Sierra Pacific High School are designed to allow students to turn in required forms, pick up tentative class schedules, have student photos taken, get ID/ASB cards, check out textbooks, pre-order yearbooks, purchase PE clothes, and take care of other back-to-school tasks before the first day of school.

Students/parents should have all of required forms filled out and signed before walk-through to help ensure a speedy and smooth process. All students should have received registration packets in the mail from their school, including all required forms. If you have not received a registration packet, please contact your school office.

If you cannot attend your Registration Walk-Through date/time, you can use the appropriate form in your registration packet to designate another person to turn in your required forms and pick up your class schedule.

Students who do not pick up class schedules at walk-through registration will not be able to get their schedules until the first day of school, August 14.

Comcast "Internet Essentials" offers low cost internet for qualifying families

Internet Essentials from Comcast offers low-cost broadband service for $9.95 a month plus tax; the option to purchase an Internet-ready computer for under $150; and multiple options to access free digital literacy training in print, online, and in-person.

A household is eligible to participate if it has at least one child eligible to participate in the National School Lunch Program (NSLP), is located where Comcast offers Internet service, has not subscribed to Comcast Internet service within the last 90 days, and does not have an overdue Comcast bill or unreturned equipment. Families that enroll in the program can continue to enjoy the service as long as one child eligible to participate in the NSLP is living in the household.

For more information about Internet Essentials visit InternetEssentials.com for English and InternetBasico.com for Spanish. Parents looking to enroll in the program can call 1-855-846-8376 or, for Spanish, 1-855-765-6995.

This information is provided by Comcast. The Internet Essentials program and its services are not offered by or through HJUHSD schools or district and are not endorsed or required by the Hanford Joint Union High School District.
