The HJUHSD Libraries' California Young Reader Medal (CYRM) program is off and running for 2014.
The three CYRM books chosen this year by the state committee are
Divergent by Veronica Roth, Revolution by Jennifer Donnelly, and The Running Dream by Wendelin Van Draanen.
Students are invited to read all three books and turn in an evaluation for each, which will be read by Mrs. Bennetts, HJUHSD Teacher Librarian. Prizes are awarded for each completed report and students who read all three books will be invited to a pizza party where voting takes place to determine which book the students in the HJUHSD like best. The final tally is submitted to the state level where votes from all over California are tabulated, and a CYRM author winner will be announced in the spring.
The program will conclude on Wednesday, March 19, so be sure to come into your Library and join in the fun!
