HHS Percussion competing in Valley Championships March 31

The Hanford High School Winter Percussion will be competing in the Valley Championships at 7:54 p.m. Saturday at Clovis North High School.

The Winter Percussion students have been working hard and traveling every weekend since mid-February, performing their show "How do I fit in?". The music is based on Radiohead music that was arranged by Elijah Turner, a current percussion student at Hanford High, and Nathan Eby. The show communicates the everyday struggle of students trying to fit in with their peers.

The Winter Percussion group has been developing nicely and have won first place the Open Class division at the past two local shows at Lemoore High School and Buchanan High School. We have also performed at WGI evens and took 3rd place at the Ceres event and were Finalists at WGI Western Percussion Championships in San Bernardino on March 25.

We are very proud of the Winter Percussion program and all the hard work and dedication the students, staff and band boosters put in all season. We wish the group good luck as they wrap up their very successful season!
