Emergency Message: Lockdown at Hanford High

9 a.m. Oct 30

From the Hanford Sentinel:

Although the investigation is not complete, Sever said they believe the object the teacher saw was possibly a tripod. “A [student] was carrying a tripod in the same general area that the student was believed to be seen with a rifle,” he explained. “We have found no evidence that any student was on campus with any firearm or weapon of any type.” Around 5 p.m., all students and staff had been released from the campus. Sever said it is safe for parents to send their students to school Thursday. He also said additional officers will be on campus.
