HJUHSD is Going Google!

We are pleased to announce that HJUHSD has chosen Google Apps for our new email and calendar platform.

Our IT team has been working on the migration and is looking forward to moving employees from our existing email server to the new services over the next few weeks.

With Google Apps, we'll gain the benefits of a robust and innovative feature set, the ability to access email and calendar services from any Internet-connected computer, increased storage capacity, and lower infrastructure and support costs. What's more, Google Apps is easy to use, and we think staff will find it to be a more efficient way to manage email and calendars.

Our email addresses will NOT be changing. But, we WILL experience an interruption of email services during this transition, from Thursday, July 26 through Monday, July 30.

After Noon on July 30, all HJUHSD staff members will be able to login to their new Google Apps accounts to access their email, calendars and contacts.

STAFF: To login to your Google Apps account, start at the HJUHSD Google Apps Welcome Center (https://sites.google.com/a/hjuhsd.k12.ca.us/hjuhsd-google-apps-learning-center) and login with your HJUHSD Google Apps username and password. All the resources you need are there waiting for you! Though your email account will not be activated until July 30, you can login to the Google Apps Center NOW to start using other tools and to learn more about the new resources available to you!

If you do not know your Google Apps login, email webmaster@hjuhsd.k12.ca.us or call the HJUHSD IT Office at 559-583-5901, ext. 3104.

We think our staff and our community partners will all benefit from our new Google Apps services, and we're committed to making this a smooth transition. Thank you for your patience!

Walk-thru Registrations are August 6-9

Walk-through Registrations for the 2012-2013 school year will be the week of August 6.

Walk-Through Registration is designed to help students get the new school year off to a good start: Students can pick up their class schedules, check out textbooks, purchase ASB Cards and PE clothes, pre-order yearbooks and take their school photos.

All students should receive a registration packet in the mail along with the 2012-2013 Student/Parent Handbook. If you have not received your packet by July 30, please call your school office.

Parents and students should review the Registration Packet together and fill out all required forms before their Walk-Through dates. All registration forms must be turned in before students can pick up their class schedules. For students/parents who cannot attend Walk-Through, parents/guardians may designate in writing an adult to attend on their behalf. (See registration forms for more information.)

Students who do not pick up their class schedules at Walk-Through will NOT be able to get their schedules until the first day of school.

HHS Presents: "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown" July 20 and 21

The Hanford High School Drama Club will present "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown" at 7 p.m. July 20 and 21 at the Stratton L. Tarvin Presentation Center.

Charles Schulz's comic strip characters come alive in this award-winning Broadway revival. The musical captures all the favorite episodes from Schroeder and Lucy at the piano, Charlie Brown and Lucy at the psychiatric booth, Linus with his blanket, Snoopy with his supper dish, and the whole gang at the baseball game.

The performance includes hilarious comic sequences animated by high-energy dance routines. It's non-stop entertainment for adults and children alike!

The cast is a blend of students from Hanford High and Sierra Pacific High, led by co-directors Dwayne Tubbs and Bianca Ankrum and production assistant Jo Shoop, with costumes by Marcy Payoyo.

Tickets are $10 for adults, and $8 for students.
