HW students earn SkillsUSA honors

Hanford West High School students brought home 5 medal, including two State Championships from the State SkillsUSA competition  in San Diego last week. Congratulations to the following students:

• Jimmy Porter- State Champion - Precision Machining 2
• Joseph Lambert- State Champion- TIG Welding
• Brian Whitten- Silver Medalist - TIG Welding
• Jhorien Osana- Silver Medalist - Commercial Baking
• Rachel Parry- Bronze Medalist- Nursing Assistant

In addition, Hanford West teacher Shirley Blanchard was named Region 5 Advisor of the year.
