Hanford FFA is the number one program in California

The Hanford FFA program was recognized Saturday as the 2010 California FFA Chapter of the Year.

The award was based on 2010 statistical performance indicators of five categories:
  • American FFA Degrees
  • State FFA Degrees
  • State Proficiency Awards
  • State Championship winning judging teams, and 
  • State FFA Executive Committee Members
Scoring is based on a 100-point scale with Hanford scoring 75.50 points, 10 points higher than the second place chapter.

Hanford Ag Dept is Outstanding Large Program in Tulare-Kings

The Hanford Agriculture Department was recognized by the San Joaquin Region of the California Agriculture Teachers Association as the Tulare-Kings Section Outstanding Large Program.

This is very prestigious award; the Tulare-Kings Section is home to three of the largest and most successful program in the state Hanford, Lemoore and Tulare. Department members Susan Moran, Lilly Pimentel, Sam Rodriguez, Brian Combes, Dennis Fuller, Jared Castle and Laura Henson are very excited about this accomplishment and look forward to submitting an award application the California Ag Teachers Association to compete for the outstanding program in the state in the spring.
